The track focused on tools, organization and strategies for community building.

The track "Joining the F/OSS Community or Using F/OSS Tools" had the following  key outcomes:
- Case studies of existing FOSS communities: the good, the bad and the ugly
- Participating in existing communities
- Discover tools and technologies, methods and processes to facilitate communities
- Establish communities, starting communities, building and sustaining communities

All subjects discussed at the track as well as training material and related links are online at the collaborative wiki set up by and for track 4.
