Track 2: Migrating to F/OSS

— filed under:

Free and/or open source software are easy to install and fun to use! But how do you get your colleagues, friends, and organization to experience the same?

The track "Migrating to F/OSS" had the following  key touchpoints:
- Participants walk away with migration plans they can implement when they get home
- Participants have lots of resources and information to support them in the implementation (and their FOSS use beyond)
- Participants have been exposed to real-world examples of migration from organizations that are similar to their own
- Participants have opportunity to gain hands-on skills on installing and configuring FOSS
- Participants have an understanding of relevant software and distributions to their work
- Participants have an understanding of how to find and handle relevant information (content) to their situation.

All subjects discussed at the track as well as training material and related links are online at the collaborative wiki set up by and for track 2.

Information on all tracks and afternoon sessions can be found on the general wiki at http://www.iosnasean.net/as3/ .
